6 years

Drove past school today and was shocked at how big the school has become

The assistant class monitor suddenly posted a photo in the dead KHS 5S1 2008 Facebook group.
'It wasn't gone in the fire, but kept safely till now.'
Records were burnt, I think even my magazine, but I do remember my hobby written inside was studying, cz sleeping was banned by the teacher. Hahaha.
I forgot I was the ketua kebersihan
Who the hell assigned me that job?
Also I've forgotten how it feels to look at my friends' life through twitter
All have gone inactive, it is now the territory of '98 kids, and staronline, and mytraffic which I've just unfollowed.
大家,你們都還好嗎?
omg, nostalgia at its max

flying home. faulty phone battery, or power bank? sighs.

HELLO! I'm back again. Current location: McDonald's NU Sentral. should I get myself an ice-cream first before I start?
okay I decided not to.

why on Earth did I choose a 10pm flight? it's okay, I can blog. but why are the girls two tables behind me so noisy? ==

so the practical is finally over. the inevitable journey that had been haunting me since the beginning of third year.

I have so much to say but I dunno how to start. why does this always have to happen to me. lol. I look back at my posts, in blogspot, in Instagram and LINE, I've indeed changed. My friends, even myself have always thought that I am no teacher material. Up until today, I still don't think that I am cut out for teaching, but somehow my students made me feel otherwise. who would have thought a childish and silly person like me could impact another person? and who would have thought that I would enjoy going to school just to see the kids. I never saw that coming T.T. Ok in short I seem to enjoy teaching. how could that even happen?

so for this 10 week long practical
I can't stop using 'so', hahaha.
and I can't stop counting my blessings.
I'm so blessed to have a decent place to stay
so blessed to have a roommate who shares the same interest and doesn't mind my lifestyle
so blessed to have coursemates whom I can discuss and brainstorm ideas together
so blessed to not have to worry about transport
so blessed to have been sent to such a good school, with good facilities, (some) kind teachers, and the best students anyone could ever ask for T.T
so blessed to have a week of Raya break, who doesn't love holidays haha
so blessed to be accepted and liked by students
blessed with the best results so far, for the previous semester although it was stressful having to cope with teaching and finals at the same time
so blessed to be finally going home
and the list goes on and on and on

okay noisy people are disrupting my order of thought and the whole grateful angelic aura is gone. haha.
should probably stop writing, I don't wanna spoil this post.

but I just did. hahaha
I was so close to buying this. but I don't need two right

or should I go back and get one each for meimei and myself?
O.M.G.

no.

relieved

I am feeling REALLY REALLY relieved
no more worrying about a teacher sneaking into my class to observe without informing
no more cracking my head to present a very ideal classroom to Mdm Rose
I'm done with observations!
7 more teaching days and I'm free to flyyyyyyy
like really fly back home. ngehehe.
second book from Mitch Albom
gosh, this is also so good.
why have I not discovered the author earlier?

yea I know, because I judge books by their covers. haha.
but Cecelia Ahern does write good books! (with pretty covers, lol)

I was greatly moved and even teared while reading in a relief class
and was forced to stop because I had something else to do
and picked it up again just moments ago
and all that emotions which were abruptly cut off yesterday gushed back just like that
how could anyone even do that? :O

"There is a reason God limits our days."
"Why?"
"To make each one precious."

want to buy books now, how?

Batu Pahat Food Hunt 2.0

this is me trying to fully utilize the WiFi when there is. haha.
second time to Batu Pahat, I initially planned to rot in KL for the whole Raya break and maybe go around by myself when I feel like it but thanks to kind friends and sporting coursemates, my week will be packed with fun, food and maybe even some nice photos. =D
drawback of being a trainee teacher is that you get called back to school for extracurricular activities
and in my case, I waited for an hour, sitting on the staircase, for a group of students who never appeared.
I was seriously pissed off, but it's okay, because my holiday was about to start.
btw, am I the only one who think that I look really un-me up there?

after a surprisingly smooth journey, 曼煎糕/apam balik which still tastes as nice!

didn't get to eat any egg tarts, but the colour combination is so nice I must take a photo
my Asian tourist mode was on full blast.

otak-otak

Three layer tea, which fyi, originates from Kuching. thank you.

roti canai made by Chinese. this is so nice because it is thin and a bit more crispy/crunchy/whatever.
just nice la, haha, and totally worth the more than half an hour wait.
not sure if it is because of the holiday, most of the places we went were full of people and we had to wait

Fishball noodles
I don't really love noodles but this was good, the noodles were not too soft and there was this hint of spiciness which made it so unique, nom nom

meet Momo the dog who is super manja

and Rocky. don't be deceived by the size and innocent look, he bites!

err. and talking Tom the cat. haha

also, for the second time, I played mahjong
and they call it newbie luck, I won RM8.

and then.. Dak Gaelbi in Chingooya, which is really similar to Uncle Jang.
I think I am addicted.

went to Ice Town. peanut butter chocolate (right) is da bomb!

I know I should probably stop taking cold food if I don't wanna suffer a couple of weeks later

deep fried nian gao, where I learned never ever to judge a food by it's cover.

this is a big cup of fruit juice, but it seems my hand is too big to show just how big this cup is. haha

Duck noodles.

and we went to Ice Town again. you know how chocolate and banana can never go wrong right?

and I've finally finish our unfinished business in Batu Pahat: to eat the Super Mango in Ice Town,
only to find out that Hui Lau Shan is so much better. haha.

Otak bread

allow me to sidetrack, don't you think my SII's camera quality is still really good? =D
I only did some minor enhancement on the contrast and saturation!

err.. and some filter. lol

breakfast this morning was meat porridge.
again, do not judge by the look, it is totally not plain and boring!

lastly, just in case you forgot my face. haha
my hair is getting more and more like grass.

here comes the question: to cut or not to cut?
*tears hair*

Life

Every single time tragedy strikes, we start to look closely at life and at what we have, what we have overlooked, what we have taken granted. This state goes on for some time and soon we move on and we forget, and we forget to cherish and appreciate. I know that's just really human. But this year has been so full of loss it's depressing. These are real people, real life. Like I said, life goes on we move on, I can't believe popo has been gone for almost a year. Please take a moment to think, I dunno what, but I spent about an hour staring into space letting thoughts tangle and untangle.
