14022015

our fourth Valentines' day since we have been together
the third one not spent together though. lol
looked back at old photos
before Mr. Teoh even brought his car, this was taken on our second date
how young we looked!
and now he is unofficially graduated
it's not like I depend a lot on him, but uni life will definitely be less colourful without him
and guess what, someone's leaving to the States for work and travel
as much as I will miss him, I am even more ENVIOUS, lol
note to students with 4 years course: do not be friends or be in love with 7-semester-students
they leave, leaving a gaping hole in you

haha, yea I just wanted to be more dramatic. I'm okay.

1140 days, and counting
thank you for everything
I'm excited for adventures to come
I'm determined to make this work (let's hope I don't forget this whenever you piss me off)
hahaha I am aware that I am a little mushy recently.
记得我说过来日方长,要和你一起挥霍幸福
喜欢你,好喜欢你,我好喜欢你。
每天都喜欢。每天更喜欢。

1096 days

here comes the anniversary post. our 3rd year together
and the places we have been to together in Malaysia
actually I conveniently left out certain places to not spoil my well-plotted map
lol lol, call me genius.

lunch treat by Mr Teoh at T.G.I.Fridays. it's my first time being there! haha
we had fish and chips, and some ribs thingy.
thank you for planning everything.
the thought really does count a lot! =D

and look, he even got me my first ever perfume, a stranger to a girl like me, who still acts like a kid XD

later that night we went to Donutes for our read/ studying/ chat/ cafe session
in which I fell asleep on the couch and woke up once to plain water and super rich chocolate cake
and another time, to leave at 3:40am. quite productive huh. hehehe.

the past year wasn't all a fridge full of chocolate ice-cream (not a fan of roses)
there were times I seriously thought of giving up because it just didn't seem to work
I didn't like the person I turned out to be
but luckily there's this guy who never gave up and who never let go

thank you my bubu.
and here's to many more years to come. =D *cheers*

魔天伦2大马站

I kinda understand why people say inspiration comes at night, it's 3:17AM and I'm still awake
Remember me happily sharing with you my joy when I finally got to touch my tickets?

and remember me shamelessly asking for likes on Facebook?
I actually joined the competition so that I could sell the tickets I won cz if so I get to watch the concert for freeee! haha. big big thanks to all who helped liking and sharing the photo, I WON THE TICKETS! (which were then sold off to pay for my airfare to BKK in January heehee)

ANYWAY, IT WAS FINALLY THE DAY.
I might or might not have annoyed people around me with my hype over the concert
please forgive me, this is among one of my most important dreams
I also stood firm on my decision to buy the concert T-shirt and light stick
takkan I treat Mayday better than my Jay Chou rightttt?

Conclusion: Teacher concludes the lesson and thanks the students for their cooperation.

I don't like to repeatedly talk about the same thing, so I guess today I'll sort of wrap up whatever I started about the practical, or maybe not. dunno la. we'll see. haha.

I seriously dreaded the practical. in the first few days, I was struggling hard to balance exams, clearing out my room and moving to Aivee's, lesson plannings, hanging out with friends and most importantly, getting up early. do you have any idea how difficult it is for a person who sleeps around 2 to 3, and wakes up as she likes, to suddenly adapt another lifestyle?
I am a very lazy person, and I always conveniently oversleep 8am classes, but as a trainee teacher, no longer a student, I had no choice but to deny myself of that indulgence.
I am also very good in procrastinating, but I had to half force myself to complete all the lesson plans.
I am very unorganized despite my OCD, I never keep my things in fixed places, I leave papers, receipts and documents lying everywhere, but no more, at least not during my practical, haha.
I've always viewed the practical as a process where I am forced to become more matured and tough, so many things have changed just because I had to do so.
I'm glad I've completed it, and survived!

enough of myself, I shall now talk about my students.

I was being assigned to two classes, 4S3 and 4S8. both their English teachers told me the students, although easy to handle, are not very active. I entered the classes and looked at their faces, somehow they all looked fierce to me. but no more, they are now the cutest 16 year old kids to me, and I love them. I dislike feeling the sense of closeness fading with time, but I know it is inevitable. I want to see my students grow up happily, I want to see them achieve their dreams, I want them to enjoy their life to the fullest.

my journey with 4S3 was a lot shorter because of the puasa month and school activities and a lot of unforeseen circumstances which came in between. At first I was really happy, one less lesson for 5 weeks, which means only 4 periods a week with them!! But as time passed, I was afraid I couldn't finish whatever I was supposed to teach, afraid that they wouldn't get the chance to do certain activities I planned, it also took me a lot more time to get to know the name of each student, and to try to break the ice. I don't know when and how we slowly got closer, but I'm sure it has to do with their kind hearts, or maybe just because I am so young at heart that we somehow clicked hahahahahah. okay okay, thanks for behaving so well during observations, but you were so quiet, I prefer you on normal days, haha.

4S8 was the class which caused me more headache. no, not really headache, but heartache. haha. I precisely remember when I started warming up to them. it was after I asked them draw posters and comic strip for fruitcake special, that was the first time I took, and posted photos regarding practical on facebook. but just as I was starting to like them, they just had to ruin my day by making me cry. hahaha. when I look back I already feel stupid. but I just couldn't help being emotional, that's EXACTLY what happens when you start to care, sigh. and after that, there just seemed to be this barrier which we couldn't break, so even when I left, there was a little awkwardness, I know we are all just too shy to get closer, or maybe it was just me. lol. I still love them though, and I believe if we had more time, it would have been better

okay, I've left this post in the draft folder for too long I don't really know what I had in mind in the first place, and nor do I know how to continue.
in conclusion, I am very proud to say that I have completed my practical, got an A-, and am back to being a student.

signing off as PET110023. thank you CHS, thank you 4S3, thank you 4S8, thank you my Section 17 Happy Girls, it was truly a memorable 10 weeks. something inside me has changed forever.

flying home. faulty phone battery, or power bank? sighs.

HELLO! I'm back again. Current location: McDonald's NU Sentral. should I get myself an ice-cream first before I start?
okay I decided not to.

why on Earth did I choose a 10pm flight? it's okay, I can blog. but why are the girls two tables behind me so noisy? ==

so the practical is finally over. the inevitable journey that had been haunting me since the beginning of third year.

I have so much to say but I dunno how to start. why does this always have to happen to me. lol. I look back at my posts, in blogspot, in Instagram and LINE, I've indeed changed. My friends, even myself have always thought that I am no teacher material. Up until today, I still don't think that I am cut out for teaching, but somehow my students made me feel otherwise. who would have thought a childish and silly person like me could impact another person? and who would have thought that I would enjoy going to school just to see the kids. I never saw that coming T.T. Ok in short I seem to enjoy teaching. how could that even happen?

so for this 10 week long practical
I can't stop using 'so', hahaha.
and I can't stop counting my blessings.
I'm so blessed to have a decent place to stay
so blessed to have a roommate who shares the same interest and doesn't mind my lifestyle
so blessed to have coursemates whom I can discuss and brainstorm ideas together
so blessed to not have to worry about transport
so blessed to have been sent to such a good school, with good facilities, (some) kind teachers, and the best students anyone could ever ask for T.T
so blessed to have a week of Raya break, who doesn't love holidays haha
so blessed to be accepted and liked by students
blessed with the best results so far, for the previous semester although it was stressful having to cope with teaching and finals at the same time
so blessed to be finally going home
and the list goes on and on and on

okay noisy people are disrupting my order of thought and the whole grateful angelic aura is gone. haha.
should probably stop writing, I don't wanna spoil this post.

but I just did. hahaha
I was so close to buying this. but I don't need two right

or should I go back and get one each for meimei and myself?
O.M.G.

no.

my first ever Chinese dance experience

I'm finally free... temporarily.
decided to indulge in some few days of rest before starting on the pending lesson plans and the upcoming forum. thank God things are postponed, but forum on week 8 did shock me. isn't it supposed to be on week 9?
ugh, never mind.

so if you're one of my close friends you'd probably know I have something against the traditional things
and that I find Chinese dance very geli, I don't know why but I just can't accept soft, gentle, feminine movements
so although my friends have been joining the club since year 1, I kept my distance and watched from afar. lol.
it all changed last year when the coach choreographed a piece which was more contemporary
although they were disqualified, I found it very nice
but apparently, it wasn't Chinese dance. haha. just Chinese music.

I don't really know what happened the beginning the academic year, but I registered for Chinese dance as well
heaven knows how much of myself I have defied every single practice I went
as if not crazy enough, I actually joined choir as well
I dunno how I went through, but I made it.
with side effects of course, I am pretty zombified for the moment.

enough of description. had hard time deciding on the photos to include
our ending pose

the V-shape which took a lot of practice for us to go in the right position.

love from our beloved teacher, the chocolate muffin was heavenly, so heavenly.

dancing with props is never easy
meet Aivee my coursemate
I love their dance, she loves ours =D

for the VERY VERY first time ever, KK8 Chinese dance team became the champion
Huiwen and Weiqi cried, and I think I could feel them.
for 3 years, finally a perfect ending for their third year in the team.
if our choir emerged as the champion or even in top 3, I think I would've broken down as well
for me, it was a whole new experience
I dunno how I feel about Chinese dance now, but dancing sure is enjoyable
bonus is a slightly slimmer body and less flabby arms. =D

lovelies. =)

and the supporters. KINABALU AWESOME.

spot the three fans in the photo

my favourite shot. =D
washed my shoes, kept it away. I wouldn't get to wear it anymore

=)

too late for this?

lost a big part of my photos because my phone went cuckoo, I think I lamented about it before, but that was last year. so here's my review of 2013, all based on my Instagram photos, since that's where my life seems the most happening apart from this blog. haha.

January was nothing much
just final exams
and going home =)

Chinese New Year was all about gatherings and catching ups, I miss my ladies already

also the last year we have popo with us, things will never ever be the same again.
on a brighter note, we're celebrating this year's CNY away from home, Thailand to be exact. =D sorry but I am really excited even with the ongoing protests. =X

and in February, I managed to achieve this. T.T
New Year Resolution 2014, I know I can do it again.

got our first ever Instax =D
I love how the polaroid photos seem to be more precious since the films aren't really cheap and we save it for special occasions or places. I dunno about you, but it makes me cherish the memories behind the photos even more.

MAYDAY concert!!
I remember how crazy I went, shouting even when I was having a horrible condition with my throat or vocal cord or whatever.

I always thought my first concert would be Jay Chou. T.T
ONE DAY, ONE DAY I WILL.

first trip of 2013 was a road trip to Sepang Gold Coast

flew a kite
jumped a lot
took tons of photos

but so much has changed

when Mr Teoh grows old.
haha.

joined the PKC
and formed stronger ties with certain friends

stupidly joined the badminton match by Karnival Sukan Kinabalu
gained a whole new experience
(that's what people say when they fail to win anything haha)

joined Race of the Fittest
you should have seen how hard we trained

speaking of which, shit, I totally forgot about our stamina training for the upcoming race!!!!

college dinner for the second time.
I have a lovely boyfriend who is willing to let me wear his shoes
=D

May 05
I missed my first ever chance to make a change

instead, I went to Teluk Intan
and got myself a new pair of shoes for RM10.
haha.
I have quite a lot of best buys of the year!

joined the 24 season drum class and got the chance to wear uniform again, although I have never actually worn a uniform that's white all over. the notion itself brought back so much memories, how I wish to go back to my secondary school years and relive those carefree years over and over again.

catching the hipster trend we got, no, more like I got infinity bracelets.
but the colour of the strings have faded so much they now look crappy.

second trip was to Pangkor with the TESLians.
I am forever grateful for the lecturer who decided that we should have a relaxing trip before our finals.

which happened to be the best final timetable so far
with only 2 days of exam. haha.

went home and fell in love with Yaoyao.
I'm glad popo got to see her before she left us.
instant mood booster =)

continued exercising
the tummy was still in a pretty good condition

and I seriously have no idea what happened.. T.T

had my very first ESL classroom exposure
and went back to Sharing to work

and for the very first time, we flew together
I finally landed my feet on Taiwan, the island I have dreamt and yearned to to over and over again.

but the trip was cut short.
I owe a very big thank you to Mr Teoh who went back home together with us and helped a lot. he could have chosen to stay in Taiwan and continue the journey but he left with us and gave so much support T.T

won the Nuffnang movie tickets for 2 times!
although it wasn't me who got to watch for both times. ==

it's just that I never had the luck with such competitions before!
but those were the only two times, I tried again but failed since then on. lol

Alexis' Tiramisu.
nuff said.

*fangirl mode on*

I finally met Nana and Jane in person.
they were B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

one year older, not much wiser
but it was Dip n Dip
which is what really matters!

hahahha, me and my chocolate obsession.

finally got to try IKEA meatballs ooh they are delicious

eat till you drop trip to Batu Pahat
thanks to Yihhai's warm hospitality =D

maybe that's where I gained all the fats now
*starts pointing fingers*

also joined PTUM as a dancer.
never a talented dancer but I had so much fun
2013 was another year of losing and gaining.
I don't really know what else there is to hope for
apart from the well being of the ones I care for

maybe the two papers this morning took all ideas and words out of me.

but one thing for sure is that my life is so much better because of everyone around me, and I am thankful for that. wishing you a good night's sleep and a good year ahead.

hi 2014, I'm ready for you. =)
and pimples.
and eyebags.
== hahaha. bye!
