魔天伦2大马站

I kinda understand why people say inspiration comes at night, it's 3:17AM and I'm still awake
Remember me happily sharing with you my joy when I finally got to touch my tickets?

and remember me shamelessly asking for likes on Facebook?
I actually joined the competition so that I could sell the tickets I won cz if so I get to watch the concert for freeee! haha. big big thanks to all who helped liking and sharing the photo, I WON THE TICKETS! (which were then sold off to pay for my airfare to BKK in January heehee)

ANYWAY, IT WAS FINALLY THE DAY.
I might or might not have annoyed people around me with my hype over the concert
please forgive me, this is among one of my most important dreams
I also stood firm on my decision to buy the concert T-shirt and light stick
takkan I treat Mayday better than my Jay Chou rightttt?

one down, many more to go!

I am never known for being courageous
and to me, donating blood is something which requires A LOT of courage and impulse

I remember accompanying mommy to a few blood donations and always secretly found her very inspiring, how could she say it did not hurt when the needle was SO BIG and so much blood is lost?

and I also remember making a vow with a friend that we must, together, for the first time donate blood in our university life.

the previous time there was a blood donation drive on campus, I went with the Mr Teoh, *that friend was nowhere to be found, lol*, but I chickened out at the sight of the nurses and of course NEEDLES

but this time, I thought it was now or never.
*It's my lifeeeeeeee*

and I finally, FINALLY, FINALLY made it!!
my first blood donation!! =D

my first blood bag.

so I overcame my fear
and it felt so good

also, the thought that my blood might actually save someone in need makes it a whole lot more meaningful! =D

p.s: it really didn't hurt, and nor did I feel dizzy after that!

my first ever Chinese dance experience

I'm finally free... temporarily.
decided to indulge in some few days of rest before starting on the pending lesson plans and the upcoming forum. thank God things are postponed, but forum on week 8 did shock me. isn't it supposed to be on week 9?
ugh, never mind.

so if you're one of my close friends you'd probably know I have something against the traditional things
and that I find Chinese dance very geli, I don't know why but I just can't accept soft, gentle, feminine movements
so although my friends have been joining the club since year 1, I kept my distance and watched from afar. lol.
it all changed last year when the coach choreographed a piece which was more contemporary
although they were disqualified, I found it very nice
but apparently, it wasn't Chinese dance. haha. just Chinese music.

I don't really know what happened the beginning the academic year, but I registered for Chinese dance as well
heaven knows how much of myself I have defied every single practice I went
as if not crazy enough, I actually joined choir as well
I dunno how I went through, but I made it.
with side effects of course, I am pretty zombified for the moment.

enough of description. had hard time deciding on the photos to include
our ending pose

the V-shape which took a lot of practice for us to go in the right position.

love from our beloved teacher, the chocolate muffin was heavenly, so heavenly.

dancing with props is never easy
meet Aivee my coursemate
I love their dance, she loves ours =D

for the VERY VERY first time ever, KK8 Chinese dance team became the champion
Huiwen and Weiqi cried, and I think I could feel them.
for 3 years, finally a perfect ending for their third year in the team.
if our choir emerged as the champion or even in top 3, I think I would've broken down as well
for me, it was a whole new experience
I dunno how I feel about Chinese dance now, but dancing sure is enjoyable
bonus is a slightly slimmer body and less flabby arms. =D

lovelies. =)

and the supporters. KINABALU AWESOME.

spot the three fans in the photo

my favourite shot. =D
washed my shoes, kept it away. I wouldn't get to wear it anymore

Thailand travel diaries #2

had the sudden urge to continue with the Thailand posts
but when I scrolled through the photos I am still stuck
so here's a not very interesting post of our reunion dinner
on the CNY eve, we were at Mae Salong, somewhere up hill at Northern Thailand
this place is full of Chinese whose ancestors were accepted as citizens after they helped fight the war
and also, full of travelers like us. guesthouses were seen everywhere
and it felt like 清境 in Taiwan all over again, so much that I had a sudden confusion as if we were in Taiwan

贺大哥, the owner of the guesthouse we were staying in was so generous he treated every one who stayed in his guesthouse to a group reunion dinner (although the food wasn't exactly memorable). It was however a great experience, having a reunion dinner with more than 30 people, there were Malaysians, Russians, Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese.

I will never ever forget the cute Japanese guy in his yukata with the so-called broccoli hairstyle. and he had piercings on his ear which made me go OMG, who can resist a cute guy with earrings hahahha, but all we did was shyly greeting him Oyasuminasai when we actually wanted to talk to him, or at least have a photo taken lol lol.

it was cold, I'm just a tad bit stronger than them all, *smirk*

since the wifi was really bad and there was nothing better to do in the guesthouse after dinner, we walked around, wanting to get some snacks from 7-11, but a Chinese song brought us into this small shop which has an old school jukebox.

one song was 5baht, and we were so excited that we stayed in that shop for more than an hour
not forgetting that there was another cute guy in there haha

then of course at 12 midnight there were fireworks
but it was all too cold that we hid ourselves in the rooms

the next morning =)

my lovely daddy

and the family =D
CNY has always been about family for me

erm, and new clothes
and new shoes

hahahah

and DINNER. when you have nothing better to do you eat all day

very healthy steamboat

I never got the chance to get hungry the whole trip just so you know
and please be ready for more food photos as I continue

it's 2:13AM and I should really be sleeping
a long day ahead.
GOODNIGHT!

Thailand travel diary #1

when I said I have a lot to share, I truly have so much to share
browsed through the photos I took in Thailand and I suddenly realized I have no idea how to start haha
so I guess I'll start with the riot which most of my friends have been asking about, and also which mummy was worried about. fyi, the Frog and I flew off a few days earlier with my uncle's family
so this is us jumping at one of the demonstration spots, near the Siam BTS station
ah the furthest end where you see two flags is actually a stage and people were singing
it was peaceful and so carnival-like

but it could be just because we were onlookers, not the ones camping there for nights

this is basically how it looks like: a long stretch of pasar pagi, yes, they grab the business opportunity
I got some real nice things here at the demonstration spot. haha.

and it gets more and more crowded as time passes

see, shoes at only 150baht

I even bought the white shut down BKK shirt
it looks cute to me
but guess what it got stained yellow by some shorts in the washing machine T.T

oh, but I clearly remember an uncle who stood up and pushed his fist in the air when he saw us taking photos at the cars taking the demonstrators. I felt so touched when he slowly got up and could instantly feel how much he loves his country. so touched that tears brimmed my eyes!
*he's the one in black with a bandanna on his head

will get back once I know how I am to continue.
till then, tata =)

Malacca food hunt!

one night, zhangqijian suddenly suggested to go on a food trip to Malacca
I was so excited because I have always wanted to go there
plus it is HOLIDAY! who doesn't love getaways?
even if it's only half a day. right? right? RIGHT?
I believe dressing up makes a trip even more enjoyable because you feel good =D

le me looking totally unlike me but I like how fair I look here

I always find him very attractive driving especially when he is doing a reverse.
oops. *insert blushing emoticon*

even Oinky is excited =D, he seldom takes photo already, growing up. =(

cheers! first stop was Klebang Coconut Milkshake
maybe I had too high expectation so wasn't really wow-ed by this
but undeniably, the ice cream was nice. hahahah. and the coconut la.

next, Satay Celup!

and the vegetable of the year, Kangkung!! lol

we have decided to take photos with this pose at every new place we go.

sadly, it was a public holiday and also a week day, so Jonker walk was almost all empty, even the public toilet is closed. ==

Malacca River Cruise, nope we didn't go for the cruise, but it sure was beautiful to see

Nadeje after being thoroughly disappointed for not having any cendol and durian puff
chocolate banana, strawberry, rum and raisin and the original mille crepe =)
did you know it's read as Nad-je instead of Na-dae-jae? now you know!

Assam pedas! we frantically searched on Facebook for a nice place for food since everything we wanted to eat seemed to be unavailable.

feeling down because even the cendol stall was closed
we decided it is a must to eat cendol
we simply walked into a shop selling iced-desserts
and saw cendol on their menu
but it was finished ==
this was some kind of fruity dessert

and, ahem, durian + mango + red bean

which was so bad that we had to play UNO to choose the lucky ones to eat the very unyummy dessert

and then we left for UM
thanks for the first tour in 2014 =D
I will miss you so much for one whole month =(

maybe.. not. haha.
