hopping onto the white bird again

the long awaited trip is finally gonna happen in about another 5 hours' time

I thought I would have my sweet time to pre-blog a few posts before leaving so that this space wouldn't be left stagnant for the 2 weeks I'm away

but the world isn't a wish granting machine (quote The Fault In Our Stars, haha), I was called to go work and realized I had to settle my timetable before I could fully enjoy my holiday.

everything is sorta done already, so here's a last post before I fly =D

too excited for the trip, we even had a amateur photoshoot session

with un-pro models and un-pro camera

appreciate our work kay? at least it was not the phone. haha.

God knows how much trouble we went through packing for the trip

fried brain

I almost got the shock of my life when I turned on the laptop after 3 days of rest and it came out with a totally different home screen, and all my folders on desktop went missing. actually, I DID get the shock of my life. thank God everything came back after I restarted the laptop. T.T

actually whatever I am going to post today has no relation to the photos I attached

I just attached them for the sake of attaching, hehe.

on the day before I left for home, we had a last outing of the semester

there wasn't much time so we thought a heartier meal (and a lot of window shopping) in Midvalley will do

but it so happened to be a public holiday and the mall was FULL of people

then I suddenly got so frustrated and uneasy and fidgety and the list goes on and on and on!

I also noticed I got easily irritated by my friend who kept on talking to me

all I wanted to do was to be left alone ==

either I have a very small magnitude of agoraphobia

don't need to know what it means, basically it's me having some social disorder lol

or that friend is plain irritating. hahaha. nola.

but my brain totally tuned into Melody's-friend-saving mode

because I started to fall into my own world that I closed out the rest of the world

yeap, I lost focus on what was happening around me, just in case I lost control and snapped at the innocent friend who was just being herself. haha.

it is actually quite scary I know.

Some time alone

I have been spending so much time around people and with people since after exam.
As much as I dread packing and cleaning the room, it gives me a lot of time to think of things I rarely give any thought to

There is always this feeling of disorientation
Of not truly belonging anywhere
I seem to be everywhere
But at the same time I am nowhere

Every single time I lock my locker
Every single time I drag my luggage out of the white door
I leave behind a big part of me, chunks of memory

I know someday somehow this will all end

I'm coming home! :D

*should have brought along a book, it was a long morning of endless waiting

Malacca food hunt!

one night, zhangqijian suddenly suggested to go on a food trip to Malacca

I was so excited because I have always wanted to go there

plus it is HOLIDAY! who doesn't love getaways?

even if it's only half a day. right? right? RIGHT?

I believe dressing up makes a trip even more enjoyable because you feel good =D

le me looking totally unlike me but I like how fair I look here

I always find him very attractive driving especially when he is doing a reverse.

oops. *insert blushing emoticon*

even Oinky is excited =D, he seldom takes photo already, growing up. =(

maybe I had too high expectation so wasn't really wow-ed by this

but undeniably, the ice cream was nice. hahahah. and the coconut la.

we have decided to take photos with this pose at every new place we go.

sadly, it was a public holiday and also a week day, so Jonker walk was almost all empty, even the public toilet is closed. ==

Malacca River Cruise, nope we didn't go for the cruise, but it sure was beautiful to see

Nadeje after being thoroughly disappointed for not having any cendol and durian puff

chocolate banana, strawberry, rum and raisin and the original mille crepe =)

did you know it's read as Nad-je instead of Na-dae-jae? now you know!

Assam pedas! we frantically searched on Facebook for a nice place for food since everything we wanted to eat seemed to be unavailable.

feeling down because even the cendol stall was closed

we decided it is a must to eat cendol

we simply walked into a shop selling iced-desserts

and saw cendol on their menu

but it was finished ==

this was some kind of fruity dessert

and, ahem, durian + mango + red bean

which was so bad that we had to play UNO to choose the lucky ones to eat the very unyummy dessert

and then we left for UM

thanks for the first tour in 2014 =D

I will miss you so much for one whole month =(

maybe.. not. haha.

the yellow submarine

hello! I've gone missing again because the times I sit properly in front of the laptop are being used to watch Gentleman's Dignity. I know I behave totally like someone who has finished all exams when actually I have the last paper at 830 tomorrow morning. I can't help but boast around because there is nothing to study for the final paper of the semester, even if I wanted to, there is still nothing for me to study lol.

still, I am quite worried since my brain is all filled with attractive matured Korean men (Jang Dong Gun specifically), lol, I guess I need to tune it back to the English frequency just in case I blank out or get stuck tomorrow and send my Proficiency down into the drain.

that was a hell long of an introduction.

this previous round in Penang, Zhangqijian brought me to Straits Quay

the hour we reached was supposed to be the best time for photos but it rained and we had to go indoors =(

and not much photos taken also because I didn't realize at first how pregnant my dress made me look ==

but it costed me only RM10 so I feel less annoyed, let's see what I can do to modify it XD

it was a day after Christmas but Christmas decorations were still up.

Oinky is 2 years old. =D

we walked around and were attracted by this little shop named Huey and Wah Cafe 

my date. heehee.

it struck me out of the blue that this guy always has to bring me around every single time I go back with him just because I'm the tourist. must have been tiring as a local T.T. thank you boyfriend. T.T.

*snaps fingers* back to the cafe.

it was the setting of the shop which attracted us at first

I dunno if the main item they sell is homemade marshmallow or cakes or coffee 

but since it is a cafe, I guess it's the cake and coffee. haha.

I broke my rules and got this Yellow Submarine which is lemon cheesecake with marshmallow instead of my usual chocolate, and it was surprisingly so good. omnomnom.

looks really humble but the layer of brown sugar or caster sugar in between the cake and the cream was so addictive! the middle layer is the marshmallow which gave the fluffy cake a sticky texture

we guessed that the cafe should be owned by a couple Huey and her boyfriend/husband Wah.

and we guessed that Wah works full time in the cafe, he was baking cakes while we were sitting outside

and that he should be from quite a rich family because business like this wouldn't be able to sustain life expenses

but of course, it was all our blind guesses.

ahh, but that's the sort of life I wish to lead.

bake cakes, sell cakes.

it's like spreading happiness.

left this message on the plate before leaving

because it was a truly a nice place and it seemed such warm and encouraging

we stupidly lingered around just to see the assumed Wah's expression when he kept the plate

we really waited for such a long time and must have looked like creepy stalkers

but didn't manage to catch the expression on his face -___-

then, we left feeling disappointed and stupid.

but I think I saw a hint of smile.

it must have been a smile.

haha.
